David Willis, managing partner
Mr Willis holds a BA in Accounting from North Carolina State University, and MBA from Kenan-Flager Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill, with a concentration in finance and commercial real estate development, and over 15 years of professional experience. In particular, his expertise lies in the areas of finance, organizational development, and real estate devevlopment. He has assisted large and small organizations in developing and financing a variety of commercial and private ventures, including non-profits, Fortune-500 firms, governmental agencies, and small businesses.
Mr Willis had previously worked with Jane Doe Group partners for over 10 years as development advisor on their commercial print facilities and Easter Seals-UCP partnership, thus creating a natural blend of business experiences and the new firm, Jane Doe Group.
Jacqueline Samuels began her career with Xerox Corporation in 1978, Denver Colorado. During her first year in sales, she earned the #2 position in sales for the Midwest Region, specializing in business development and marketing solutions within the oil industry. After relocating to the North Carolina triangle area, Xerox created a commercial print management and business development position for Ms Samuels, while using her extensive product knowledge, training, and business savvy, she quickly became #1 in sales for commercial print divisions nationwide.
In 1997, Ms Samuels launched a commercial print facility that reached sales goals of 1.8 million in its first year of business. Earning several awards such as, The Long Leaf Pine from NC Governor James B Hunt, Black Political Caucus Business award, and the NAACP Business of the Year for outstanding client commitment, diversity, and a proactive consulting approach to business. In 2002, with the non-profit organization, Easter Seals-UCP a new commercial print shop and non-profit environment was created, with Ms Samuels as managing partner. Jackie realized the non-profit sector contains heartfelt causes that at some point must be facilitated by business, which has made non-profit business a passion for Jackie, as well as a great platform for executing her business experience.
